How many hermit crabs do you really need? Most of the recommendations you see online for hermit crabs are listed by vendors trying to sell more hermit crabs. Many of the notable authors and aquarium experts will say not to use them at all. I think they add something interesting and different to an aquarium so add 2-3 per 75 gallons. If you only purchase a couple with the amount you would have to get to get free shipping… Hit up Premium Aquatics.
The CUC I ordered last time was snails only. I would love to get more of the small/large cerith snails and more small/large nasarious snails.
i would order 100 hermits the small ones i know they grow but they die too so who knows i went 3-4 years without them and since i got them my tank rocks are spotless. I am a believer in these guys and i do feed them specifically too i just rubber band a chunk of fish or shrimp to a rock and put it on the bottom for the shrimp hermits and nasso snails i want to get more of them too. i just want the cheapest price and easiest way to do it who is interested so far its paul, just sum guy and me we have options dpa, reefs to go has a good deal and we can look into reefcleaners

I know they are cheap and because of that some people may think of them as disposable, but perhaps before buying more you should look into why they are dying. Your rocks become spotless, but you have to feed them to keep them alive and they still die? Perhaps you are keeping too many and having a smaller amount you won’t have to feed them or replace them.
Don’t want to jump on your thread just to be negative, but I would seriously consider keeping some coin and leaving some of those crabs out in the wild. I think it would do you, your bank account, your tank, and nature all a favor. Just my two cents, trying to help, I’ll leave it at that.

no, not cool… arranging work schedules and being home for the delivery is a big deal, they should know that.
