I just realized I never posted any pics or info of my reef tank over here, only on another site.
I will make it short, basically my old reef of 3 years came down a few months ago and i upgraded to a 80 Gallon tank with a 40 Gallon refugium.
All of my old livestock and equipment are supporting this new system, and so far it has been doing so much better then my old tank every has.
Here are some updated photos, I have added some frags from last weekend and a new Clam. Took some pics so I figured I would post. Still learning the new camera, really want a macro lens right about now.
Besides the cyano and a few aiptasia, the new tank seems stable.

The tank looks really good ::
I see some of the stuff you got from me in those pics are doing well and starting to branch out already :)[/quote]
Thanks, the stuff I got from you is happy, I am happy to have great polyp extension and have noticed lots of corals to color up nicely, despite the fact the photos dont capture the true colors.
Thats a great looking tank! Lots of nice corals and frags to grow out and not too crowded so they have some room. What sort of filtration/support equipment do you use to keep it so happy?

Thanks Ken.
The equipment list is as follows.
Tek 6x39 watt T-5 fixture
2x koralia ( soon to replaced with 2 mp20s or 40s once I find the rest of the parts I need)
Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper elite.
Mag 7 return pump
Reef Octopus 6 skimmer
Filtration all sits below my tank in a 40 breeder.
I estimate I have about 120 Lbs of liverock and about 40 lbs of sand. (shallow sand bed)
I have a refugium with chaeto and caulerpa.
I also have 7 mangrove pods, and 1 just produced leaves and another is about to. I installed a spray bar so my auto top of takes care of the chore of spraying the mangroves with fresh rodi.
I do not dose anything, I feed 2-3 times a week and typically perform a 20-25 gallon water change every 2 weeks.
In my old tank I could never keep sps alive, I suspect red bugs however I was never positive. In this tank I have been having better luck, so hopefully it lasts and I can have this tank grow into a nice looking mature tank.
sounds real good. you have multiple waste removal paths. skimmer, rock, sand, chaeto, mangroves and water changes. if one falls behind the others pick up. safety in depth.
