diamond hole saws!

anyone have any that either they could: sell to me, rent to me, or let me use? I am looking for saws for 3/4 and 1"/1.5" bulkheads. also could use one for a 2" bulkhead. Need to drill my tank for a closed loop/calfo overflow. MY saws got lost in the move to the apt.

Well, if there are none to borrow, many have used bits from this site. the inexpensive ones are good for a half dozen holes or more. How many do you need to drill?

and all the ones on Ebay too.

That site is fine also have used lao from ebay. Good for a couple of holes then toss.$5-$7

4 holes or so. idk if im gonna dril a closed loop. im gonna do two in the top corners for a calfo overflow and then two in the middle for scwd return

the middle for scwd return

Make sure you give that option a LOT of thought before you do it. I personally know several squids that are collecting dust at the moment.

4 holes in decently thick glass and the bit could be done. If you find someone who will let you borrow one find out how many holes have been drilled. Also make sure it is ok with them that you buy the bit from them and not just borrow it. I plan on ordering some in the next couple of weeks as well. Keep in mind if you purchase on ebay you’ll be waiting 3-4 weeks for delivery.(can’t remember how long, but they fly from accros the planet.)

I have heard you can get bits from Harbor Freight, but I was in one today and they had one that would drill a hole large enough to put air line through and that was about it. The one I was in was next to Captain Nemo’s though. The local Harbor Freight near Newark didn’t have anything two weeks ago either.

ive seen larger ones at harbor freight, but they arent exactly cheap. lowes has higher quality ones, but they are pricey!!

i was just at lowes, the largest they had was 1 3/8s, which wouldnt fit a 3/4 bulkhead for 45 bucks!!
yes i would pay for the bit.
harbor freight didnt have any a few months ago when i was looking.
i was gonna go glass holes but i dont want to wait till after xmas for my bit.
my scwd is collecting dust right now, but ill try to give it a whorl. if it sucks ill just throw a T in.

I would give you mine but it has quite a few holes on it and it would be better to buy a new one

For the price and the amount of holes you will need buy a cheap one and take it slow. The expensive ones if taken care of will give more holes but since we don’t drill tanks everyday save the $$

if u think it has some holes left on itill give ya somethin for it, i don wanna wait for a new one
