installed male female connecters at each end for quick removal drivers will be mounted under the tank any suggestions?

Tim the solder joints look excellent

Looks good Tim. How long is the light?

lol thanks snow!! the two strips are 24" and the square is 3x5 the stripa are both going on the right half of the tank and the square on the left

Very nice

Did you light them up yet?

i lit them up individually with the battery tester but don’t know how to with out the dim cable from the apex was going to hook the battery tester to the wires, supplying 3v to the dimming part but didn’t wanna mess them up

What wattage are these LED’S

They are 3w Cree xp-g LEDs

They do look awesome!! :BEER :BEER

But where did you get them from??

Rapid led theyre price is good and they are helpful

You can wire up a 9v battery to the blue and white wires coming out of the driver to test the LED’s. If you look on Rapid’s website under the driver you have and click on detailed description, there is a link for …
Helpful hints on how to properly use your driver. And it explains how to test it with a battery.

yeah i just figured that out. been busy tonight just got done the dimming cable sent was wrong so if anyone has an apex and ai led fixture i have the cable lol. I made a cable from an ethernet cord and got the dimming to work set the drivers to the proper v and amps 956ma max mounted all lights and hardware and man are they sweet. the blue is noticeable even with the full daylights on and when they shut down its a fast dim down very nice, now have to program it. Thinking on doing a ramp from 20% to 80% over a 1 hour period starting 30 min before the actinic vho’s come on, then 80% all day then ramp down from 80% down to 0 in 1.5 hours starting 30min before the vho actinics off. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Oh a pic coming after i get the program strait

slow down speed racer.

thats alot of light i wouldnt go past 50% to start. you should work your way up so you dont shock the corals. ramp up and down is personal taste.
