DIY SPS Iodide dip

Anyone have this recipe? I can’t seem to find it online ANYWHERE.

If anyone has their Dr. Mac’s receipt on the back there is the reciepe for a DIY SPS Iodide dip using Iodide tincture from your local pharmacy. I need this!

Thanks.

Thank you Ted (ronert) for being a life saver! Found me this site: THE CORAL OASIS, at the bottom they have a recipe.

20 drops of tincture in 1 liter (~1 Quart) of tank water, let the coral sit for 20 minutes.

To add to this, Dr Mac’s receipts have an acclimation guide on the back.

For SPS only, they recommend a 15 minute dip in either
(1) a preparation of 1 liter of water with 15-20 drops of Tinctur of iodine or
(2) a commercial coral dip as recommended by the manufacturer.

Remember to rinse the animal(s) in tank water prior to placing them in your tank.

Also insure that the container water remains at the same temp. as the tank water.

And prior to all of this, their acclimation procedure states, in bright red letters:
DO NOT dip soft corals, LPS corals, anemones, or fish!

Make sure for the 1 liter of water you use your TANK water. NOT freshwater
