Dr. Mac teal acro frags

I got this acro from john who got it from Dr. Mac a while ago, I broke off more frags than I planned and was wondering if anyone is interested in one? I’m going to DPA in like an hour, its noon, or I can meet up some other time.

The colonys are much bigger now than those pics… they are hardy as heck, my other acro’s had stunted growth while these things out paced my monti’s.

$20-30 a frag depending on size

let me know.

Ok I may be wrong on the “brand” I’m not 100% certain, but I also remember John saying some of the ones I got were ORA, and after I took this out into day light I saw the tips were purple which gets washed out in my lighting, looks just like ORA’s pearl berry acro. Either way its really nice.

Tim any pics of the frags as of today? I am interested in buying maybe 2 from you.

I’ll snap a pic, they are fresh cut, no plugs.

Forgive the quality, used my iphone not my good camera…

this is my main colony

this is the one I’ve fragged, hiding frag to the left also, I can break off what ever you want.

Tim I would love a frag let me know when I could pick it up. I would also be open to do a trade. i have a lot of acros

I see you upped the price to $20-30 a frag. Not so sure if that is a pearlberry, hard to tell from the pics. So if you are selling different size frags, it would be helpful to see what is the $20 frag and what is the $30 frag.

Thanks
John

I meant to type 20-30 earlier sorry.

This one went for $30 today, its about 2-2.5"

I’d say a $20 would be like 1.5" “finger”

pretty fair when you see acros for $69 at stores…

P.S. I could plug mount them, but I always break the plug and mount it where I like so why waste time, plus I need to buy glue, mine’s dried up

Because mounting them on plugs provides a means to stand them upright instead of lying on the sandbed on their side. Lying on thier sides not only creates weird growth patterns but when it’s on the sand bed runs the risk of no light to the bottom, no flow, no food, abrasiveness from the sand tearing the tissue and frags not making it through the week.

Besides when I buy frags I like to let them rest in a frag rack for a while before mounting, especially when they’re fresh cut.

That was only on the sand for the pic, I rest them on rocks.
