Dual chip indigo LED soon to have its 410 and 420 nm rays tested over corals

Interesting reading on reefbuilders about this 410-420 chip. Read the comments by Clive below.

That’s basically the same concept as what I have only mine is a 100 watt led

Bill kind of but yours is what is refered to as a Dense Matrix LED like what is used in Kessil, Orphek DIF, Ecoxotic Cannon and the like.

Bill, are you still using it, if so how is it working out?

Yes I am it seems to be doing real good. I want to get 2 more but can’t do it right now. The chip has great color and all the corals under it are growing. I will say they have so much more shimmer then the MH I currently have next to them. The only other thing is there is NO shadow areas, thats my consern. I tried a AI fixture over my 39 and it looked like a bunch of little spots so unless it was 2 foot over the tank it cast the light weird, can imazine having to by 6 for my 300.
My chip has 40 one watt cold white and 60 one watt royal blue.

Yes it is simular looks like a 2 watt LED. The companey I got mine from also has a 50 watt 50/50 combo.

I gonna do a DIY fixture using 3 of these and some more blue and violet suppliments.
