Last night I noticed my melanurus wrasse was laying on her side looking to not be moving. So I netted her and was going to dispose of her when she started to flail around in the net. So I put her in my qt tank and today she is darting around like nothing happened.
Any ideas what it could’ve been?
Is there a sand bed in the tank?
I have about 2-2.5 inches on the bottom
Wrasses are known to do that sometimes. They’ll just lay there and make you think that they’re dead but not. Will also see them leaning against the rocks as well. As for the sand, wrasse buried in the sand when it goes dark, I’m guessing they go to sleep.
My wrasse when i got it a few weeks ago did the same thing, now it has some place it goes and hides to sleep.
