So I’ve got a cabbage leather (or is it a sea lettuce coral?) that I got from martinfamily awhile back. I was an idiot the other day and manually turned my lights on 10 minutes early. Of course I forgot to turn them back to auto and they never shut off and ran over night. Didn’t realize until the following day they stayed on. Anyway I had put the cabbage up high in the tank ~3" from the top when I originally didn’t have good lights and it had situated itself there fairly well so I never moved it when I put in the T5s. Since leaving the lights on all night it looks quite umm roasted. Any ideas if it will recover? Should I try to relocated it or let it be? The other frag (of cabbage) I got is in a similar location but part of it can be shadowed by the skimmer box and it looks fine.
It should be fine, just switch the lights back to normal. Moving it would just cause it more stress.
Anyone order Chinese food? I think its called Seafood Lo Mein now.
It should be fine just put the lights back on schedule. Also cabbage corals don’t need a ton of light so it would be fine to move lower in the tank
I HATE cooked cabbage…yuck
my leathers survived the chemical warfare from the bug bomb so im sure itll be ok…
mine lived threw the crash. should be good just get things back in order and it will look better in a few days
I did tell you that I frag my cabbage leather by grabbing a piece and tearing violently from the rock right?
These things will live through anything.
