Got some new maximas and a hippo!

I was lucky enough to win the monthly photo contest over at -------- recently! The prize was 1 maxima, and 3 maximas and a hippopus clam showed up instead… PoM no complaints from me!

i just wanted to share the excitement and the pics!

Anybody ever have a hippo? it doesn’t have much color, and there mantles don’t extend past the shell like other clams… but i’m really lovin this clam. the white stripes through it are so sharp, and the mantle looks “blurry” , and the shell shape is pretty unique compared to other clams… and its big, about 4 1/2’’…

I’m not sure A, but i really don’t believe it was the snails. It never had more than a few on it, where the other clams were covered (30 +) and are still just fine!
