figured i would start this now nothing else to do at work. me and jen will be geting are hands on icys 90 gal tank and stand. sad to see there tank get taken down. its deff what inspired me to set up the 75. jen wanted the tank i wasnt a fan till i walked in the room with there 90 and saw wat a tank could look like. the plan is to set up the 90 get in running move some rock and sand over at first. and then move everything form one tank to the other. will have to rearange the room to do this but it seems much easyer then taking one down and seting the other up in one day i saw the armco vid and looked like to much fun for me. me and jen are realy excited the 75 was starting to fill up and was still runing closed loop. the rr 90 with a sump and the skimmer we have to put in it should make thing a lot easyer. will post some pics and more info on this as we get it started in the next few weeks. also took home icys clam and toadstool last night.
Sweet deal, good luck with it. Hopefully you have more will power than me and it won’t take too long to do the move, but I can say from my experience it has taken much longer than I had initially thought.

you sure they are not mojano anemone’s?
http://www.pirx.com/gallery/albums/cnidarians/majano.jpg
they are as bad as aiptaisia
No, I am sure they are BTA’s. Each is between the size of a quarter and a half dollar. They all came from one BTA that moved across the glass and onto the clam. I thought it might bother the clam so I went at it with a razor blade… in 2 months there were 5 or 6 small BTA’s.
DEF bta’s… awful lot of slander on this site anymore

i never slandered anyone, just stated that small GBTA’s could be mojano, i caught the last post and it sounded like a hitchhiker on a new purchase, guess i should read the whole thread lOl
sorry didnt realize it was from a reliable source
Lol, no problem. Alot of people have trouble with BTA’s, but for me they seem to be the herpes of the anemone world.
zhenya from reefland.com started with a rose BTA in his mixed reef tank a few years ago… here is its prgress >LOL< >LOL< >LOL<
needless to say no more reef LOL

Awesome.
i started with1 rbta from adicted, finally 6 months later i have 2.
imo, the overgrown tank in the pic, which IS beautiful, must have been allowed to get like it is. those bta’s could have been removed or killed or sold. they don’t reproduce like aiptasia or mojanos

I PRESENT TO YOU, THANKS TO ZHENYA AT REEFLAND AGAIN, ONE VERY VERY VERY NERVOUS YELLOW TANG!!!
im sorry i didnt mean to derail your thread, back to your 90!!
i wanted a few ideas on rockscape thought of several ideas on how to stack the rocks maby slopeing from the back corners down towards the front. or built up on one side. just wondering if there were any ideas out there things people have done or wanted to try. we need some ground space for the clam ( icys) its huge, plate coral and wellsophyllia. was also thinking if we stacked mostly to one side maby fit a carpet anemone maby a baby blue one. working mostly with rock from are 75 and a few from icy. a few of the corals are attached real well and would rather not move but there are some that can be taken off there rock and then attached when the stacking is done. mostly just wana have a game plan. sorry i type with no grammer and strait from my flow of thought. the fts attached is several months old but just to give and idea of what were working with.
see my rock work in my build thread, just an idea

toward the bottom
everything is geting moved form the 75 to the 90 in the morning. the 90 has been up and running for about 2 weeks with about 40 pounds of live rock. i have also been doing water changes between the 2 tanks. plan to do several more 2 night and in the morning get the stats as close as i can. i think the most fun part will be diping to remove my flat worm pests in the process. so every one wish me luck i will post pics and info on how it worked out some time 2morrow.
the 90 is up and running. seems like we had 100% survival save mabe a few cuc that we missed. started at 6 in the morning finished at 530. i need a nap lol will have pics up 2night. i liked the 75 but the rock work in the 90 is a lot better added about 50 or so pounds of dry bace rock got a lot more height. also having a sump and skimmer for the first time is realy nice. seems i got rid of most of the flat worms diping and then dosed the tank still got some on the rock in low flow spots i think are dead but havent drifed off yet. used 2 bottles of exit in the process will get some more 2morrow.
