Hanna Alkalinity tester

Anybody using one of these to test alkalinity? If so, please tell me what you like about it and what you don’t like about it.
thanks

I like it because I can just measure 1mm and then read the results, I always lose track counting drops

I use HANNA for calcium, alkalinity and phosphate and I really like them. I don’t really have any dislike. Like Frank said, I lose track counting drops as well. Especially having to do Silifert Magnesium test, what a hassle that is. Wish they come out with Magnesium test. I know they now have Nitrate and I’ve been eyeing that for a while now.

Id like to get some Hanna testers, but I’d definitely skip the alk kit. Alk is too easy to test for to justify the price IMO.

Found the best prices at 2 sites, BRS and Salty Supply. The BRS price was $48.99 plus shipping at over $11, ridiculous for such a small item.
Salty Supply had it at $49.99 plus shipping at $4.99, much better. After looking at the item on Salty Supply one day, I received an email the next day for a 10% discount. I ordered it on Thursday and it arrives today, Saturday.
Now that is great service!!! YahoO

Used my Hanna Alk tester this morning and I like how easy it is to use. It gives the readings in ppm’s, so I just used a calculator to convert reading to dkh. My dt reading was 148 ppm, so converted that is 8.2 dkh. Now I know that 148 ppm= 8.2 dkh, that is my goal number.

That’s great John. If you get a chance try the calcium or phosphate. You’ll like that too.

I already use the phosphate tester, like that one also, and I will check out the calcium tester, thanks A
