Hi im Tim, 28 of pike creek, i’ve been into salt water reefkeeping since oct 07. just felt like i should say hello to my fellow DE reefers
i have a 26 gallon bow front (designing a 120 gallon for when i buy my house :BEER)
filtration is an AquaC Remora hang on back skimmer with a maxijet 1200 with overflow box, an aquaclear hang on filter gutted with a substrate some rubble and macro algae and a compact fl. light clipped on acting as a fuge. for lighting i have a currentusa nova extreme 4x24W t5 fixture with 2 giesmann aquablue+ , 1 giesmann pure actinic, and 1 UVL 10kk bulb.
some pics for you all

Awesome Tim, Welcome to DRC. Nice pictures and corals. Do the pics look a little dark or is just my monitor? Anyway looking forward to seeing some more pics. I like the shot with the little brittle star arms coming out from under the favia.
sure thing on that full tank shot, this one is only missing the long polyp tri-color acro.
most corals are frags so far, its basicly the second time i’ve set this tank up… i had a horrible crash in november, i thought my heater was broken to an extent… the digital thermometer by coral life read low so i figured the heater was off and cranked it up, turns out the thermometer was off by 8 degrees! so as it read 82… it was 90 (i checked it in icewater as i used to calibrate meat thermometers in icewater to 32 degrees, and it read 24)
needless to say i was mad and it cost me, a local asked “didnt the water feel warm?” why yes… and then i checked the thermometer…
anyhow that pos is trashed and i have a good ole glass mercury therm now.
edit… link, photos keep getting cut off on the right for some reason
I like the cave type setup with the aquascaping (rock setup), looks nice and some good coraline cover on the rocks too. Looks like you got a little bit of cyano (on the powerheads?) going on there have you tried syphoning it out daily? If it sucks right off it is cyano (cyanobacteria) and can be a bugger sometimes to get rid of.
thanks ian, no those are clean now, it was an accumulation of algae and detritus that i had slacked on cleaning, that photo was taken the day i put the Remora skimmer on the tank (hence the fresh black plastic pre skimmer)
You can also surround your pics with the IMG tags and they will display in the forum (I did that to your post for ya) or press the insert image button on the post screen, its on the second row next to the funny red ball.
Lookin good! PS looks like you could fit some more corals in there
working on it lol, have to watch those Euphyllia they can have 6" sweepers so they are spaced enough from each that im taking my time watching how they react to eachother… on the left there is actually a green mushroom polyp and above it is a very small red monti-cap tucked in a crevas that is doing nicely and i look foward to its growth
