Jason, I guess you don’t want crabs in your tank. Do you know if those are pests or are they just reef crabs that just hang out on the reef.

Well the problem is that crabs are opportunistic feeders. That means sleeping fish and just about any coral can be fair game if the crab is hungry/large enough.
I think this particular crab is a Gorilla Crab. The black claws and hairy body are supposed to be an indicator. It has pointed claws which are that of a predator and not a herbivore. Gorilla Crabs are known for being nasty predators that are not reef safe.
That is a evil crab, usually the crabs that are furry need to come out.
