how do you relocate a mushroom?

Id like to relocate a mushroom i have growing. What is the best way to go about moving it?

Pick up the rock and put it where you want it ;D

Mushrooms can be hard to relocate, well they’re easy to get to grow somewhere else, just hard to get them to stop growing where they were. If you can peel it off at it’s base you might be able to get it to come off cleanly and move it. Otherwise any part of it will probably grow back where it started. Mushrooms are incredibly hardy animals and will grow from just the smallest piece of flesh left behind.

If you REALLY don’t want it to grow back I’d cut it as close to the base as possible, attach the clipping to a piece of rock rubble with some bridal veil until it attaches and them epoxy the rubble where ever you’d like the new shroom to grow. I’d then coat the old spot with a healthy dose of kalk paste to kill off any remaining shroom spores.

If you simply want to propagate then just cut the mushroom and repeat the rubble rock step above and let both pieces grow back to be a full shroom.

Slice it off as close as possible to the rock, but mushrooms are pretty hardy I’ve never had any luck killing them even when I take a tooth brush to them ::thinking::

use coral cutters and nip the rock where the shroom is

i might use a hammer and a sharp old wood chissel. try to take a chip out from under its foot. thatway you can glue the chip and schroom where you want.

I’ve noticed mushrooms will let go, and move after a couple days of higher flow… not that it helps much, cause they let go when you’re not watching, floating into the rockwork never to be seen again

I dont want to kill the mushroom, just relocate it, I wonder if giving it a little bit of a shock might get it to let loose? Like an electrical shock?

just cut it at the base like bill said and move it where ever you want it. And if you want to have more of them, cut it in half and they will grow back.
