Post some pictures of the fixture inside and outside. It is doable and I have heard it done many times. 5 things would have to be done
Disassemble the fixture.
Replace ballast
Replace endcaps
Add reflector
Reassemble housing
what are the current PC lamps watts and how many? what length is the fixture? what size T5s are you looking to use? you may be able to use the same ballast. but you need new end caps. and reflectors and a way to mount them in the strip light. you can get the water proof T5 endcaps and standoffs and reflectors for about $36 per lamp. if you need a ballast these guys are on sale this week. 10% off.
or, if the strip light has a protective splash shield to keep the bulbs dry, you might be able to use these instead of water proof endcaps, dependingon how you can mount them, and save 60 bucks.

it all depends on how well you can retro. or you could use it as is and switch to the new UVL PC lamps with internal reflectors.
it already has the glass splash sheild its 48" and im not surre on wattage i would have to check and i was planning on putting in 48" (or what ever will fit t5s)
uvl pc’s???
Yeah, UVL has a couple new things. PC lamps with internal reflectors and T5 lamps with internal reflectors, just like their VHO lamps. If you can find them.
