I cant believe I did it

Well I was at The Frazer Zoo last week and MIke got some sweet carpet anemones in and I have always wanted one. I bit the bullet and purchased one. I know that they are notorious for eating fish but I’m a sucker for a clown flipping around in an anemone. Wanted to reach out to see if anyone is keeping one and what if any experience you might have with them. Mine is green and we believe it is Gigantea species. Let me hear it guys.

Well I know jared and Lindsay have a couple of them and are very happy with them. I’ve only tried to keep 1 carpet anemone - it ate about 4 fish - one of which was a 5" foxface - before I pulled it out and left it at DPA.

If its a Gigantea…it will require alot of light …They also benefit from good strong flow in the tank…Difficult species …once settled in -you should be ok…Haddoni carpets are a lot more forgiving, but notorious fish eaters…HTH

I ve had a neon green carpet for about 8 years its about 14 inches and it has NEVER ate any fish other then the ones I gave it.

The one Craig had was real nice but a fish eater. :stuck_out_tongue:
