I got a Camera and am not afraid to use it

[b]Preparation for Future TOTM

Do you have a quality camera and know how to use it? Do you mind going to fellow reefers houses and taking pictures?
We could use 2 DRC members to take pictures of fellow reefer tanks. We could use one for the North and one for the South.

The articles for the tank would need to be put together by the reefer and would be submitted to a committee to edit and combine the pictures together. We will post a link on the forum and the article will be posted on the main DRC page.

We need volunteers for using their camera (2) and editing the articles (3). The more the merrier

I would be willing to help edit. And if we dont have many members with good cameras I can help those of us with cheap cameras take much better pictures with just a little help.

I have 2 good cameras. As long as the reefer can work around my schedule I’d be happy to assist.

I’ve got a few good camera’s…

Ahh but are you willing to drive down to dover to take pictures is the question ;D

I’ll take pictures. Have always wanted to do this, but there was never much interest any time I mentioned it before. I know what the first three tanks could be, but after that it might start to get to be a little slimmer as far as choices. Are we going to vote for TOTM or just take volunteers? And don’t worry I will get on that other things I promised to do as well.

I would like to see it called something other then “TOTM” since most of the tanks are going to young. Also during select months we don’t have time for a “TOTM” (December, July, August). Some kind of member profile page. We can work on a better name later.

How about this months featured tank, or featured reefer. If there isn’t a particular tank perhaps we can cover one of the active members and a little bit of history about them. As far as the months we don’t have time well lets make 3-4 before we even post one then when we don’t have time we can through in some of them we have stock piled. Just some random thoughts. Lets hear some more opinions.

Well ill volunteer to have someone come down and take pics of my tank, and joe wanted to, and im sure there are others, so perhaps instead of by the month we could do a set of web pages called member aquarium profiles or something where each member gets a page that is dedicated to their tank… just some pics and a description (think RC TOTM) and that would give other people more site content to browse when their bored, and no pressure to come up with one each month.

Something that changed would spark more interest but would require more maintenace and work.

It Is funny you started posting; here is a clip from another thread

Only select people can get in here/

I saw you had typed that, but I didn’t tell it to notify me when there were edits on that page and didn’t see any replies. Last time I looked at it you had only typed two words in there. I thought you were just typing something for Ted to see.

Oh, Oh! I like the tank tales thing. I have lots of stories I could tell, but at the same time we should just tell the stories in threads shouldn’t we? I liked the Tank profiles and the Reefers in DE. Actually reading that again you have “Reefs in DE” you didn’t want to talk about the reefs off the coast of Rehoboth did you? lol I went to the Caribbean with the guy that studies the reefs in DE. The reefs in the Caribbean were a lot more interesting. lol

I was thinking something like this Reefkeeping Online Magazine - Tank of the Month where they index their TOTM, however instead of dates we could just have names. That way each person has theirs up all the time and the work isnt much more than doing a monthly TOTM because its the same layout for the article, just with the addition of a single web page that has a few links on it.

Paid DRC Members get the page set as a profile page with gallery?

Why dont we have a few people have pictures taken of their tank and write up little tank summarys so we have something to work with? Once we have a couple we can figure out how we want to go about displaying them and when to update.

I’m new to the hobby anyone have true per or black onyx clown fish for sale or know where I can get them around DE area please let me know thank you.
