"I want" thread

Add to this thread things you’ve seen recently you really wish you could pick up, but they are hard to find, hard to keep, or just too pricey at this point to pick up.

Some of you know one of my favorite corals is my Fungia plates. There must be someone in New York City that collects them or someone that frequents Unique corals who wants them bad as they are always trying to get in more oddball and rare fungia. This is one on my, “I want” list for sure.

Whats the price tag on that Beauty?

Reverse sunset Monti… and, i never met a chalice i didn’t like, but this toxic tyedye is Aweome!

Oh nice ones.

That fungia is only $399. Some of the others I have seen have gone for closer to $1000. The one orange one I have only goes for around $130. On average the “typical” fungia go for around $50.

Searching for this coral for ever. I think GARF has at least a year or more waiting list for this coral frag. Wish someone around here has it.

Oh man that’s nice!

There pretty nice guys,

I want a real Garf's purple bonsai. I've ordered 2 that said they were and even gave me pics but turned out to be grape and not true purples.

Thanks Rosti, but i’m not sure if they’re one of the same. I know there are lots out there like the tri-color that you’ve mention and plum crazy and so fourth. But the bonzai are true deep purple. I might be wrong, maybe someone with more knowledge about this can chime in please

How Bout this guy ?? does he qualify for this thread ?

Please excuse my SPS ignorance but how can you tell the difference?

I have been eying this specific favia morph for almost a year.

I have the “true garf bonsai”. I got it from a buddy of mine I trust from another forum. He was fragging it for a bunch of people and I never heard complaints it was a fake one. It doesn’t like my tank very well and it’s a VERY picky coral. You can fart and it wants to brown out. Heavy encruster though!

EDIT: Heres the best picture i could find of mine, the only adjustments to this picture is white balance. I’m working on getting the color perfect on this coral for awhile now, almost there… Also my flow rate in the tank was kind of low and all my SPS looked like thin sticks. I bumped it wayyy up so hopefully they beef up more.

First got as frag:

Looks like the real deal. If you ever decide to frag it, can I be second on list after reefman66?

True purple turns a bright vivid purple with green polyps the grape has the green polys but the purple is dull and doesn’t color up

Sure, not sure when i would frag it, but i would if the right trade came along.

I did break a tip off of it the other day like an idiot, i glued it to a rock and its encrusting. Its on the sand though so its mad and brown but growing.
