COOL PROGRAM! I’m going to have to watch that series. nice example of under cooling of liquids. changing ithe specific gravity and heat. when a little touch can cause it to crystalize rapidly. kind of the opposite of super heating and boiling. like take a cup of boiling hot tea or coffee, let it stop boiling, then add a spoon of sugar, and voila , it boils again instantly. by virtue of the sugar disolving. heat of disolution. or something like that. It’s been a long time since my Jr. High School Chemistry Class. I bet DJ can explain it better.

You can try this one in the morning with your coffee. but it has to be boiled, not dripped. dripped is way cooler than boiling temp. need it at 212.

wow thanks for putting this up! I love these programs and if you don’t already know planet earth, wild pacific, blue planet all touch on reefs around the world wild pacific in particular. They are educational especially for us. Paul you would like the clams all i can say is wow

hey ken is that why when i dissolve calcium chloride in water it gets hot? like crazy hot is you do it slow.
