Sprang up suddenly a the base of an acro. Thick stalk much like a paly, it has a mouth with striations coming from the center, greenish hued body, maroon to dark brown stalk and tentacles. It just seems to have longer tentacles than most palys that I have seen. ??? ??? ???
Does it look like this Josh? if it is it’s green or brown button paly.
Looks like a Protopalythoa, commonly referred to as “paly”, but a little hard to tell. Regardless could harm the acro either way.
Looks like a pally to me. As Jon said - it “might” harm the acro - of course it may not either. Keep an eye on the base of the acro for signs of stress where the pally may be touching it.
