I bought 2 rw-4 for my 105g (48"x24x19) because all I read seemed to indicate that rw-8’s would in all likelihood be too powerful. It took some very precise tuning with power(80%) and speed(77%) but I was able to produce a wave. At no time were the pumps powerful enough to slosh over the rimless(a good thing)
My question is this: is this a suitable wave pattern and is the wave frequency suitable. You can see the sway frequency in the duncan and hammer in the lower left
I have 1 rw-8 on my 90 along with 2 hydor korallia powerheads, one’s a 1080 and the other is slightly smaller. My speed is at 1/3 and power is 3/4. Everything looks great, not too much flow. Your link isn’t working for me, keep getting a 404 not found error. Could you post it to YouTube?
