The Fresh Water Club has a special guest speaker this month and invites members of both DSAS and DRC to attend. Our Speaker , Mark Denaro is involved in many fields of Freshwater, Saltwater and the keeping of herps. You are invited for his presetation and please bring your questions in any of these fields.

Mark Denaro from Anubiasdesign.com will be doing a presentation of his Peru collecting trip. It covers a lot more than just fish. It includes a lot of pics of herps, flowers, creepie crawlies, etc. along with some collecting stuff and a visit to an exporter in Iquitos.
Mark has been an aquarium hobbyist for 40 years. He has been keeping marine aquariums for 34 years, and has always been interested in invertebrates as well as fish. Mark has bred well over 150 species of freshwater fish and propagated over 150 species of aquatic plants. He has spawned 6 species of marine fish and propagated over 30 species of invertebrates. During his 27 years working the pet industry, he has been involved in all phases of the business from import/wholesale to retail. He has been in store management at both independent aquatics retailers as well as several large, big box chains and served as warehouse manager and sales manager for a regional wholesale company. Mark has owned an aquarium shop, a small saltwater wholesale operation and several aquarium maintenance companies. He currently owns and operates Anubias Design, an online retailer of freshwater and marine invertebrates and plants. He has written numerous articles for club publications and is a frequent contributor to “Tropical Fish Hobbyist” magazine. Mark is the past president of the International Betta Congress and the Indianapolis Aquarium Society. and has held almost every board position at one time or another in various clubs of which he’s been a member. Mark is a well-know speaker and judge and has lectured to more then 30 aquarium societies in 14 states and spoken at a number of regional and national conventions.
