June DRC event Dr. Mac trip

The DRC’s June event will be a trip to Pacific East Aquaculture. The trip will be on Saturday June 27th. A car pool will be set up in a separate thread and will likely have departure points in Bear and Dover.

Information on Pacific East Aquaculture can be found on their website here. http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/

We need to get a head count as soon as possible, so please post above if you can make it or not. For time being if you are not sure shoot me(Jon/Gordonious) a PM and don’t add to the count above.

PS There may be Pizza, Soda, and other free yummies if we bring enough people.

is there a fee for the trip, also how does one officially join the club, i’m in pike creek DE

Welcome Tim. There is no fee at all for the trip and you are welcome to join us. Typically members join the club at our regular meetings, however in the summer time we do not have regular meetings. I will find out of Marty, who typically handles new member sign ups, is going to be at the Dr. Mac trip and perhaps you can sign up there. I will shoot you a PM when I hear back from him.

ok, i like Dr. Mac’s i’ve been there a few times and once bought 10 frags and a BTA, things went welll so far, he has a great place there.

Yes, I will be going, along with my wife. I will also bring membership applications along for any new members to sign up.

Tim, if you shoot me an email, I can send an electronic version of the member application.

Ok, I just found out for sure that I wont be making it to this. Sorry, and have a good time everyone.

I have received several PMs from people letting me know they will be bringing guests. Please shoot me a PM if you are coming regardless if you are bringing someone or not, so that I can total up who is coming.

They need to know how many people will be there for lunch!

Just talked to the ‘boss’ and looks like I can’t make it! Have a blast guys!

You’ll be missing out Ian. I just got word today they’ll have a brand new shipment that will be coming in a day or two before and won’t even be online yet. Typically when they post new stuff it goes fast.

I also received a PM from someone who said they were bringing 2-3 other people… I seem to have lost the PM, who was it again?

PS Dr. Mac just flew back in town with a brand new shipment they just got finished acclimating. One top of what is on their website there is even more items they have yet to list!

A word of caution! Rte 13 and Rte 50 in lower Delaware and Md. are major speed traps. Mind the speed limit and you wont blow your shopping money on a ticket. Its a nice country ride so take your time and enjoy the scenery.

See you there.

I will be there, my son is coming with me and picking up moliken and ponies999. So we’ll meet you guys there.

officially hitting the balt aquarium first thing in the am meet you guys/gals there hopefully in the afternoon

WHAT A GREAT PLACE! tons of corals, very clean and neat. the 40 % club discount helped too. also stopped at houndsbayman’s place for some additional corals and to see his beautiful tank. great meeting billrob --thanks for driving-- and ponies–have fun acclimating your million frags.

i wanna see the trachy

I always enjoy these trips down to Dr. Mac’s. And it’s especially fun to watch all the first timers there staggering around with their eyes POPPED OUT, calling their banker for a short term loan! Everything looked exceptionally good today. and the deals were great.

I just got all my frags from the Green House frag pack acclimated with a fresh herbal dip and into the overcrowded frag tank. I have to say, that every single one of those frags that look mostly brown out in the sunlit green house are sporting some fine bright colors with the aid of some actinics. It’s a lighting thing. the natural sunlight highlights the dominant brown zooxanthalae and the actinics highlight the coral colorants. I read that somewhere. but they do look great at home.

the X_MAN schroom is bright green with blue ring. My first really fancy one. Hope it does well.

Great seeing you all today. sorry i missed the houndsbayman side trip. Rain check?

Thank you Dr. Mac, for lunch and being a fine host!
