found a small shrimp on the clam i won YahoO i scrubbed it good and found a small shrimp clear with a green midsection and it is fast for its size any ideas what it is pics coming the tail is a v shape like a fish a fast fish
Holly Cow!! clam for a raffle prize. DANG IT, I missed it! Tim, I never heard of any bad shrimp. If anything it might be glass shrimp (salt water type) or nem shrimp.
just hoping its not a mantis may put it in the sump???
Looks like it could possibly be, by the look in the pic. Does it look like it has that punching glove claw?
i can’t see one i should have trashed it but it is in the sump under the filter hope it doesn’t get out
uuhhhh??/ that green spot in its belly is probably just lettuce. it must be a vegatarian, like Paul. no doubt harmless, too.
Tim it’s NOT a mantis don’t worry about that, could be a glass shrimp, there are symbolic shrimp that can live in a clam but I don’t think it’s that either.
Gonna lean twards a glass shrimp.
But if you wanna bring it up my mantis shrimp would love to meet your shrimp :
