I’m starting a 75 gal reef tank I would like to go led light. I do not know what to look for as fare as wattig and size ? I would love some in put I’m doing soft Corel only.
Check out JackRyan’s thread called, “whole tank sale”. I know dunk said he was interested in the lights but if he doesn’t take them they would be great for your 75 gallon setup. That’s just my opinion.
This is a very difficult topic to get answers to. Everybody has a different opinion on lighting.there are some nice Chinese lights that are dimmable that won’t cost you a fortune.you can also build your own kit if you want to costomize it to your liking.these lights are not compatable with controllers if you have one or plan to get one.hope this helps a little bit
good info jason. with soft corals you don’t need much at all. A good question would be how high do you want the lights above the tank with led you could go 8"- 36" with optics and soft coral, and what do you want it to look like?
also how much do you want to spend?

Your going to need at least 2 lights,maybe 3 depending how the tank looks or what you want it to look like.
