Light loss through acrylic, glass, ect

Anyone have any data or care to do some tests with their (cough BillRob cough) snazzy LEDs (or other) through a few different medium?

Basically I’m curious as to how much light/par is lost and/or spread/focus lost with lighting going through acrylic or glass.

Any thoughts/input?

Bless you

Bring over your glass and acrylic and we'll do some tests ;D

I “think” light transmittance is better through acrylic than glass. Acrylic is considered optically clear - even more so than starphire glass or ant-reflective glass.

Now you get to use the new light meter Bill.

I have my own A
The clubs meter is still sealed

Yessir! Have any left over pieces of starphire siting around I we can use for testing?

I don't have any glass at all.

I did a quick google search and got this:
acrylic: 92% transmission
glass: 80-90% (Starphire would be at the high end of the spectrum)

We got a new par meter?
