Well, Reef Magazine has a program going to get more people interested in catching and eating the invasive lion fish population here on the East Coast and around the Caribean.
there are now resident populations off Delaware and New Jersey on artificial reefs and wrecks. So our local fisherman can help too. Cleaning them cant be any worse than cleaning west coast reef fish like sculpin, which also have nasty toxic spines that really hurt if you get stuck. but they were almost fished out because they taste so good.
Or, catch a few for your tank, or local LFS.
