I know some of you frequent the LFS a lot more than I do, just wondering if anyone could keep a lookout for a clown trigger for me. I am looking for a 4" one but anyone 3-6" will do. If anyone sees one for sale anywhere or knows of someone selling one, please let me know, and health/price would be great too. I live in northern DE so the local stores up here only please (DPA, greenbank, petkare, petco etc). Thank you!

Hey Jeff have you talked to any of the stores about ordering you one?
Not yet, because I am in no rush to get one. Just figured if someone saw one, I’d probably go and pick it up. I’ll eventually get one though.
usually a pretty common fish to get ahold of… just pretty pricey, so most lfs dont get them too often. im sure any of them could get u one within a weeks time
I’ll keep an eye out Jeff as I am in and out of LFS several times a week. I don’t really pay attention to smaller triggers though as currently I’m not in the market one.(either for myself or work)
On a similar topic ff anyone sees a majestic fox face let me know. I wouldn’t ask an LFS to order me one as I would only purchase if it was in great condition. I really would like to find a show piece specimen.
Thanks Jon, I appreciate it. A majestic foxface is in fishguy9s avatar right? They get pretty pricey too right? I am not really into foxfaces since they can sting me, although someday I do want a lionfish!
You realize how that sounds right? You’re scared of a little sting, but want a fish that can send you to the hospital… What about your tangs or the eel for that matter?
Jon
Oh and yes they are expensive.
i do happen to know somewhere that sees them on the list regularly… Saint:) i got one about a month ago.
(Magnificent foxface)

What fish can send me to the hospital? I don’t want my other fish getting stung and hurt, and I’d rather not accidentally have the foxface bump into me either. I dunno, I have just never been a fan of foxface/rabbitfish, but they are good algae eaters! I will keep a lookout for one though.

The lionfish can send you to the hospital…
I’ve heard lionfish and foxface stings are pretty much equal. If you are severely allergic, than either could send you to the hospital. Otherwise, its like a bad bee or wasp sting. I thought he was talking about the clown trigger or eel taking a finger off, haha.
I dunno I was watching something on tv this old dude (granted he was old) got stung by his lionfish. He didn’t go to the hospital, but his hand was all swollen up, didn’t look good at all.
Trust me, I wouldn’t want to get stung by one, but I think you have a greater chance of getting stung by a foxface. They are more personable, many eat out of your hand, and they can hide easily. Its hard to miss a huge fanned out lionfish. I am just avoiding venomous fish all together right now, I’ll stick with ones that bite, like a clown trigger >LOL<
