looking for some beginner coral

looking for some easy stuff
im starting a new 75 and want some coral to go with it

when are you starting tank? if this is not even up yet then you will have a while before corals. where are you located? i have alot of easy biginner corals in need to trim. is this tank up and cycled already? if you are not ready with tank i will have them at anytime. introduce yourself and tell us about your tank in members tank forum. :Welcome)

its been up for about 2 months i had another 75 but sold it because needed some cash for school.
i had a 29 gallon running for over two years and has tons of live rock in it. what i did was took some of the water from the 29 and put in the 75 every other day untill it was half way then i fill the rest . I have tons of hermits and snails to help with cycle. recently put a pygmy angel fish and a jawfish. so far so good…

hey the monti i got from you fell from the rock i set it on. It looks like a piece chipped from the middle area . Just wondering will it be ok

It will be fine. Just give it light and good water parameter. Are you glueing it to a rock or are you just laying it on a rock. I suggest you glue it to a rock and place it in the high to middle level of your tank so that it will get light and start to heal over and spread out on the rock. Hope this help, but the frag will be fine. Let me know if you have any more questions.

i was not really sure which way it should face up. By that i mean does the curve point up or should it point down?
yea it really up high in my tank. Are you selling any acropora sill?

I have couple different color zoas, frogspawn, kenyon, anthilia and xenia.

As in the picture below. That is the side should be facing up and towards the lights. I don’t have any mounted acros right now. I can cut you one that is pictured in my FS thread unmounted for $10 if you want. LMK

Just like laying sod. Green side up!

sure i will take one probably pick it up some time during the week. I have 6 48" , t5’s that are 54 watts each.
Do you think it will survive under that lighting or should i get MH by the way i cant really see the purple in the monti you think it my lights . I have 4 actinics and two 10k .

The lighting you have for that tank is sufficient and i’m assuming that it’s a 75 gal with the lenght that you mentioned. Also, to let you know that I keep my corals in 250W MH with 20K. I’m sure with the lighting you got the corals will take time to grow and color up, along with the water parameter in low nutrient.

LMK when you want to come by for the frag.
