Well, my clam that I got at the swap bit the bucket this morning. It looked totally fine for a while, but slowly started not expanding on one side. It started spreading and I assumed it was pinched mantle disease. I decided to give it a freshwater dip, since that cures PMD, last night. It was dead this morning
That sucks srry to hear.

Oh no. That stinks. So sorry Adam.

That is horrible. I did not know you can FW dip clams. I do miss having a clam, maybe one day I will get another.

I was surprised too @JustSumGuy. It is a well documented process going back 10 years, but not one I’d come across before. Seems temp and pH matching are the keys. I guess that makes sense since we can FW dip our fish under the same conditions.
Sorry to hear Adam. That’s a bummer.
How big was it? And what type? Just curious.
Are some varieties hardier than others?
I was actually thinking of getting another one soon, my year end bonus is coming soon.
It was a big one. Probably 5" across. Don’t know what kind though.
