Lots of higher end reef equipment for sale! Icecap, Precision Marine, Tunze, etc

Shawn and i have recently combined our tanks and have a lot of equipment for sale. We havent taken pics of anything yet but figured we would give local guys a head start before we list the equipment elsewhere. If you have any questions or would like pictures please send me a pm! Im going to try to provide a link to all the equipment if possible. To make things easy we will price everything at about half retail to start.

The first two items are customized items that Shawn said a lot of member were familiar with but I will try to get pics up later today for those who are not.

The first is an old Odeyssea fixture that has been completely gutted, upgraded, and customized. The dimensions of the fixture are roughly 48” x 16” x 3”. The fixture has 2 x 250w DE MH, 12 amazing LED moonlights on three panels with 4 LED’s per panel, and two 48” T5 or VHO T12. Right now we have 2 brand new 48” UVL Super Actinic VHO bulbs and endcaps in fixture with no reflectors because they have internal reflectors. If interested they can be changed out for T5 endcaps and SLRs which is what we had previously. The fixture is wired with three remote ballasts. All icecaps. 2 250w new style electronic ballasts and a new style 660 T5/VHO ballasts that will run up to 4x 4’ bulbs. The icecap wiring harness has been integrated into the fixture. The entire fixture can be unplugged from the ballasts in seconds by using the included molex quick disconnects. A separate molex connector has also been added to the harness so that you can run two additional T5/VHO bulbs up to 48” long from same ballast. Great for in system frag tanks. We have two brand new never used 250w 14K phoenix bulbs that will be included… $500 will take all which includes the fixture with moonlights and fans, both brand new 14K Pheonix bulbs, 2 brand new 48” UVL Super actinic VHOS, 2 Brand new 36” UVL VHOs(one super actinic, one white actinic), all three Ice cap ballasts, both T5 SLR reflectors and end caps to run fixture in T5 or VHO configuration and will even include a brand new 36” VHO 2 bulb retro with waterproof endcaps already mounted to a flat pan reflector for easy hanging over a frag tank(works perfect with acrylic frag tank I also have for sale). The retro is already wired and has a molex connector so that it will plug right into 660 ballast for fixture. We will sell the fixture with or without ballasts as well as sell the ballasts alone although we want to sell both 250w ballasts together. We will also sell the VHO frag retro separately with or without bulbs and we have several waterproof T5 and VHOT12 endcaps and standoffs available as well as other lighting components like SLRs and 6 like new Current USA T5 HO ballasts that will drive a total of 12 36” T5 bulbs if anyone is interested.

The next is Shawn’s custom power center that some people are familiar with. It includes 3 flushmount digital timers for lights with one being a heavy duty timer designed to switch metal halides. Two American DJ switches and all the wiring and switches for his automatic water change system. The entire system is mounted in a 12U wall mountable network cabinet with a glass door that can be locked. It includes all the networking hardware including a shelf for remote ballasts. It’s a little bulky and would only work in a basement type setup or one that has room for a wall mountable cabinet. No idea where to price it at so will accept offers if anyone is interested. Will try to get pics up asap for those not familiar with it. Shawn said he would help explain the system and install the automatic waterchange system if necessary.

Two Hydor Koralia Evolution 750($25 each) Brand new! They have not seen a drop of water!

Tunze nano 6025 powerhead($30) Barely used it all. Powerhead is a better quality version of the Koralias. Sold as a nano but probably too powerful for most smaller nano tanks.

Gen X PCX 40 feed pump for Precision Marine skimmer($100, $75, $40) - Three available. One is practically brand new, the other is older but in great shape, and the last one is NOISY! It works fine but makes a high pitch noise that Shawn cant seem to fix. Great back up pump, utility pump, or full time pump where noise isnt an issue.

We also have a LOT of odds and ends laying around including extra powerheads(MJ mods with magnets), heaters, smaller pumps, and probably everything else you can imagine. If your looking for anything in particular send me a pm and ill tell you if we have it available.

Any pumps included with the reactors?

Let me know if you get sick of looking at that light set-up sitting in the old laundry room and just want to get rid of it - or maybe you want a new project and want to trade it for a 6 bar Nova Extremem Pro >LOL< >LOL< >LOL<

No, but we have a bunch of maxijets lying around that can be used to feed these reactors. Thats how they were originally installed and then later they were connected to a manifold of the return pump.

Are the hydors controllable?

they arent the 12VDC ones if that’s what you are asking. they are the new evolution ones that are supposed to work well with wavemakers.

all pms replied to!

Ive gotten a couple of pms about the power center and wanted to clarify. Yes. It does have the auto waterchange components and wiring integrated right into the center. In order to install it you would need to have your tank close to a drain or be able to run a tube temporarily to a drain each time you do a waterchange. The other thing you will need is a make up water tank that is drilled. We have a drilled 20g that we could include if needed. For those of you that havent seen this in person i will describe how it works. There are two switches in the power center labeled as drain and fill. You simply make two marks on your sump that represent the amount of water you want to change. You dont have to measure it or know exactly how many gallons it is. It doesnt matter. You only need one mark at your sumps normal level and one for the level after you drain the water and you only have to do this the first time you hook up.

When you want to do a waterchange you simply hit the drain switch and your tank will automatically drain itself. You turn the switch off when the water reaches your lower mark on the sump. You then hit the fill switch and your sump will fill back up automatically. You turn that switch off when the water returns back to the first mark. Thats it. A completely waterchange in 30seconds having to only hit 2 switches. The last thing you will have to do is put a pre-measured amount of salt back into the waterchange tank which only has to be determined the first time and will only take 2 seconds because you will put the same amount in after each waterchange. The waterchange tank can also be set up so that it fills automatically. There is every failsafe you can imagine built into this system including a switch on the DJ switch which needs to be turned on to “activate” the fill and drain switches as well as a glass door that locks with a key to prevent any switch from being hit accidentally. The same powercenter will organize all of you electrical devices so that everything can be independently turned on and off and control all of your lighting or anything else that can be set by a timer with three flushmount digital astral timers that have battery backup. The box has two fan ports if you wanted to use the ballast shelf for your remote ballastsand are worried about cooling as well as two conduit entry points on the top and bottom to safely run your wires which is what this powercenter is best at. Safety.
Its not waterproof but is splash proof and has had weatherseal installed around the glass door for a tight water resistant fit. No more powerstrips or knots of wires.

Shawn says that this box is probably only going to work for people with their tanks in their basements or other unfinished areas or with tanks that back up to an unfinished area. Close proximity to your RODI and drain is ideal and your tank can be made to automatically top off and do small frequent automatic waterchanges without every having to do more than flick a switch. He also realizes that most people wont want to install it themselves and as offered to do so along with helping to reorganize existing plumbing and electrical to make it all work.

Precision Marine skimmer, 1 PCX40 pump, power center, both koralias, and reef fanatic wavermaker are all pending sale. Thank you!

quick update

We have sold the majority of the things we had available but still have quite a few things left. We have decided to piece out the lighting and now have 2 Icecap 250w metal halide ballasts and 2 250w pheonix metal halide bulbs that are almost new. $75 for ballasts and $40 for the bulbs.
