Another great meeting! We had a great presentation on collecting and raising clownfish, thanks to Barbara from “Reef-Geeks.com” http://www.reef-geeks.com/forums/cmps_index.php . A very informative talk, I know i can’t wait til my clowns lay eggs so i can give it a try! It seems like a lot of work, but very rewarding!
We also touched on the “DRC Website Updating” . Our computer “literate” members are volunteering their time to re-do the website, so if you have any ideas, or input of any kind, please share, now is the time, before they decide which format to use… please direct any thoughts to this thread http://delreefclub.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=4354.0
We also heard from Craig about his plans to move his tank up to the living room in his house… finally got “called” up to the majors! Lynn was nice enough to give him permission, but under the stipulation that if saltwater soaks the floor, then Craigs blood will be soon to follow…lmao… so i’ll be staying tuned to this one to see how he does http://delreefclub.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=4404.0
The first DRC Adopt-a-Highway cleanup happened this past Saturday. It was a good time, and everyone that showed really cleaned up a LOT of trash, thanks to all those who attended, and we hope to have more than 8 club members show up to help next time. We had a good time while doing a good deed http://delreefclub.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=28&topic=4339.0
Thanks again to KaptKen for the home cooking (a delicious fish/seafood soup) and to Ellen and Bill for helping out with the rest of the “food duties”.
And a big thanks to our sponsors. Aqauticlife donated a pump, Coralprops for the gift certificate, and Mrcoral provided the frags for the “frag raffle”.
I love seeing new people win something at their first meeting!
And “not so new” people winning also…
And Joe walking away with his “Golden Ticket” prize, and Bill with his invisible prize…lmao
Hope to see everyone next month!
