When: Monday March 21 7PM Where: William Penn HS (New Castle De) - Cafeteria Raffle: Frags are being supplied by Mr. Coral www.mrcoral.com Golden Ticket: Aquatic Life submersible return pump. Food: Open to volunteers - please post here
Content: We are pleased to announce that Barbara Lang from www.reef-geeks.com will be our guest speaker this month. PBJ! Barb has spent several years perfecting clown-fish breeding. OK so the fish have been perfecting the breeding part - Barb has just mastered the raising of the fry. But since fish can’t talk and give a presentation on “how to get it on” Barb will be joining us to talk about the process (using fish as an example), and how to be successful at raising baby fish. I can honestly say I’ve never met anyone in this hobby more passionate about raising clown fish than Barb - this should be a very entertaining and informative presentation. PoM
Also - we’ve had a LOT of new members the last couple of months so we will be holding one of our old fashioned “What’s going on with your tank” sessions where we can offer some answers and expert adivce to the newer (and some of the older) members of the club.
Next Month: Chris Brightwell from Brightwell Aquatics PBJ!
sounds like a great lineup. im excited to hear barbs presentation as i have one set (and soon to be 2 sets) of clowns and would totally love if they spawned. im looking forward to it. what types of frags are we getting from mr. coral, any ideas? pictures? good things! looks like itll be another great meeting!
I received the package of frags from Mr. Coral this morning for Monday’s raffle. I think you’re all going to be very pleased. Hopefully we’ll be able to get some pics up shortly.
Thank you Mr. Coral for fantastic prizes.
We’re going to add to this month Golden Ticket raffle too - we’re not only going to raffle off the Aquatic Life submersible pump, we’re going to add a brand new refractometer from Premium Aquatics.
Hope you many of you can make it out Monday night.
Here they are! the raffle frags for Mondays meeting… courtesy of MrCoral.com… The 3rd frag from the left looks like zoas of some type, but haven’t opened yet. There’s four chalice, a favia, and i’m not sure what the middle one is…(anybody know???)…on their site its only listed as “lemon” i think… They’re all on large plugs (cept the middle frag) to give a size reference… and all look fresh cut, but healthy…
They’re in my small tank Jon ( the 30), I’ll try to play around and get a top down tommrw. I got an order from mrcoral a few weeks back that i couldn’t be happier with. … It was 13 x $10 frags shipped for free. Here’s a pic the day i got them. they’ve all healed and grown some already… they’re not all in the same spot anymore or i’d take a quick pic. They are all “wysiwyg” there, so maybe i’ve just got a good eye lOl
