meeting suggestion

Maybe we could have a light demo at a meeting sometime, have someone bring in a a spare tank and have people bring in different kinds brands of lights to get first hand views in person. I know I would of loved to been able to compare a few PAR38 bulbs prior to ordering, and I’m sure many feel the same about other LED pendents maybe we could even get a few loaners from vendors ?

this is a great idea, i have 2 different brands and would be willing to bring one of each or however many needed in to compare results. ive got nanocustoms par 38 and boost led’s par30

Great idea’s ::thumbsup:: I’ll make some phone calls this week!

i have the nano tuner also evil’s par 38 a 12k and 20k might have the ecoxotic version all blue by meeting time

I have orphek PR25UV and Rapid LED PAR38 Bulbs

I would really love to be able to see a Kessil and dif-30 in person

The club ;D

well I will be at the next meeting hopefully I will be able to use it then

I also would be interested in borrowing the PAR meter whenever it is available. I will also return it to whomever it belongs to or where the club is keeping it after i am done using it. That way we can keep it going around as needed.

Just show up at a meeting and cough up $10…that covers you for a year!

As far as the par meter goes, I’ll be starting a thread for it sometime in the near future. I can tell you that its spoken for until Oct from the list of names so far. The “official” guidelines for borrowing the PAR meter are being worked out. Keep an eye out for the “Par meter borrowing guidlines, and usage instructions” thread soon!

:Welcome) hope you can make it! Its about 25 mins from the Philly airport (depending on the heaviness of your foot) it goes from 7pm til about 9…Raffles, food, ad BS-ing everything salt related!

awesome thanks for the quick responses. i’m already looking forward to it. i travel every now and then for a living, but if i’m home on the 19th, i’ll be there. do people usually bring anything? food or otherwise?

You may also want to check out the Delaware Valley Reef Club www.delvalreefclub.org. I think their meetings float around a bit as far as location, and I’m certain their not as much fun as ours >LOL< But it’s another local club to you and has a solid membership and knowledge base. Keep in mind that you’re limited as to what you can do on their site unless you join the club but in the interest of making new friends in the hobby it’s another option for you.

Hope you can make it to our meeting in Sept. no need to bring anything but yourself and an open mind. We’re going to be giving a presentation on lighting and lighting spectrums as well as raflfing off frags, some equipment, and handing out a ton of knowledge.
