help me make my decision for my 20L contest tank. which would you rather have for a 20 long mp10 or 2 K-evo 750’s on a red sea wave maker. ive got a potential great deal for the evos and waver maker for $115 shipped for all 3. or should i buck up and pay the extra 55$ and get an mp10. help!!

despite the fact that i will be competing against you i will give you only the very best advice! Save your money and skip both! You dont even need flow. Just stick you finger in a couple of times a day and give it a swirl >LOL<

The MP10 will have a significantly smaller footprint in the small tank then the K-Evo will. Not to mention it’s a better pump, less heat, etc. etc. etc.
If I could afford to go the MP10 route in my 29 I would (damn kids >::: )

I have to say if you are going to do a competition a large power head in the water will majorly take away from any FTS and trying to hide it will just kill flow or look extremely tacky. The Hydor pumps do a great job and will keep a healthy tank, but when you’re only working with 20 gallons and it’s a display… I’m saying this and I have probably 10 Hydor power heads or more in my tank room and have never owned a Mp10. I’ve been more focused on the animals and less about the looks until recently…

MP10 no questions. Lindsay and I switched a few months back, and the tank has never been happier w/ the flow! No comparison on the market that we have come across.
well that was unanimous. i know i know go mp10. ive got one on my 29 and i love it so i guess ill go with it on this one as well…you guys have twisted my arm enough hahaha. and after thinking about it i just love how low profile it is…ok mp10 it is

Court - i should have that T12 NO light fixture for you soon! Just go to Lowes and grab a couple of 3K bulbs and your corals will be growing like weeds in no time!

Oh thanks i have the skimmer for yours just about done, just have to get the tubing for the airstone and then stick that in the pvc pipe. It doesnt even have a pump so it conserves energy, just blow in it to make bubbles lOl

That stuff looks great and i think i can even get it in bulk from Costco! I should have just saved my money and instead of buying the tank just used the bathtub, then i could get some easy top down shots. Plus talk about an easy water change >LOL<
