I was little scared, I put her in the tank last night after long water acclimating process and then didnt see it anymore, could’nt find her anywhere. Turned the lights on this morning ( got my new M.H. bulbs today in the mail) and she came right out. Fed some mysis shrimp and she was eating great. Maybe success. YahoO

Picked it up along with couple of corals at (Greenbanks) He’s got all kinds of fish and corals up there right now.

wait until the end of may. he should have the tanks ready by then. nice wrasse.he has some nice coral but most of that stuff is average. he want to bring in some of his own stuff. cant wait too se what it looks like.
goos luck. o yah what did he run ya?did he still have the carpenter wrasse whenu went? there were like 6 in the tank. looked cool but didnt have much time to spare

Yeah he got alot still. He also has some extreamly nice full size angles but I can't keep them in my tank with corals.

It is pretty normal for these guys to stay in the sand on and off when first introduced into a new tank. Make sure you have at least 2-3 inches of fine-medium sand for her to burrow in at night. It is a good sign that she took the mysis. Just keep offering lots of variety and try to feed at least 2-3 times a day. Yours looks very healthy. Both of my leopards are doing great, but they can be tricky at first.

Keep us posted on how she does.

Thanks

I will do that, It seems to be alot more active tonight. ;D

Very nice Bill, keep me posted on how it does, after seeing Ellen’s pics and now yours I think Eden and I might be getting one of these at some point.

REALY like this fish and looking forward to getting another. GolfC

Phew! Reading the beginning of that post I thought it was going to be a bad one. Glad to hear it is coming out and eating! YahoO

I think crushed coral is too coarse a sand. From what I have read the larger grains end up rubbing their slime off when they dive in and this leaves them open for infections. May be you should consider swapping out some of yours for a finer sand? I have caribsea special grade reef sand, and it seems to be working alright.

Like I said it is pretty normal for them to hide for the first few days. I am glad she came out for you. Try and make sure she is eating when she is out. As long as none of your other fish are being aggressive she should start staying out longer soon. Keep us posted!

I’m getting ready to unload all the rock and restructure the tank, I’ll switch some of it then. Lights just came on and she already out and has been out the last 2 days as well. She is eating fine so looks like I can start breathing little easier. ;D
