I picked up this frag @ DPA the other week…I’m leaning towards it being a species of galaxia, but the polyps are larger…any incite would be appreciated
beautiful but fragile, with a delicate skelton…corallites are long, thing cylinders prone to fracture. …they require frequent cleaning from a turkey baster, or place them in surge or turbulent water areas…they are notorious for their ability to sting other inverts…typically placed in the upper level of the aquarium.
Not sure anyone posted this yet and you likely already heard, but… watch for the 4-5" sweeper tentacles on this guy. Might think yeah right, but seriously the normally 1cm long tentacles can stretch to immense length and sting other corals pretty bad. Beautiful corals though.

yea i had a small favia frag take out a trumpet 6" away before, i saw him doing it

yeah i’m probably going to have to get rid of the frag…i knew about the sweepers and the aggressiveness of the species, but i figured i had room…this was an impulse buy. gotta make room for some larger colonies,a good friend of mine is breaking down his 125 soon so if anyone wants it let me know

ironically my friend got the tank armco…you work there right? i don’t think you would want the tank because its over 20 years old but all of the LR will be up for sale along with some fish and some corals…i’m gonna take the majority of his coral colonies but i could frag a few things…if you really want the galaxea it’s yours
hey andrew, i was looking at that same coral in dpa and couldnt decide what it was. i kinda thought it looked non photo from when i seen it. but hey, ill take it, just lemme know what u want.
