So Casey and his wife dropped 2 clowns, six line, goby, cleaner shrimp and porcelain crab on sunday. Right a way clowns got together and very happy, other fish great too. I fed them few times, so far so good. That same evening I am in the shower and I hear dog barking downstairs for few minutes. I yelled to kids to investigate why dog is barking, 6 yo comes upstairs and tells me that is barking at small fish tank behind bar (fish room). I am still in shower and asked 6 yo to go behind bar and see what’s going on, he comes back and tell me nemo is on the floor and Tessa (dog) is barking at it. Now I am in panic mode, still in the shower, I send him downstairs and told him to pick up nemo and throw it back in to the tank and i will be right there. I am panicking, million thoughts going through my head that i have to explain to ether Andrew or Casey that one nemo is dead. 6 yo comes back upstairs and tells me that he through nemo back into the tank and that fish is laying on the bottom and not moving. Oh man, I am gona have to tell somebody that fish is dead. At this point I am not longer in rush to come out of shower, so 5 min later 6 yo (Joshua) comes up and tells me that nemo is laying on it’s side and breathing. At this point i got out and ran downstairs, it was Andrews big nemo that was on the floor and now just lays on the bottom and breathes heavily. 30 minutes goes by and nemo started to flip upright, 2 hours later it was almost perfect. I fed them again and he even started to chase other fish for food, YahoO WOW what a miracle. i came home from work today and noticed that both pairs are fighting and luckily no one jumped out, so I separated pairs and put Casey’s clowns in the refugium of my display, in the section were return pump is. As a precaution I put on guard on return pump so no more accidents happen.
Video of the happy clowns is being downloaded to youtube, I will post link tomorrow.
WOW! It’s a good thing Nemo can hold his breath longer than we can! He’s a lucky guy. maybe an egg crate cover or pond screen is in order to prevent further excursions.
