I just received our new SENEYE PAR/LUX meter in hand. The item can be check out for use from one of the officers Myself, Bryant, Scott or Marty if you can get a hold of him, LOL.
This meter is reserved for PREMIUM MEMBERS ONLY and it’s FREE. Members will be able to check it out on a weekly bases. However, If you need it longer just let one of the office know. Once done with the meter, the item will need to be returned to one of the officer unless there’s an agreement between the user and one of the officer to be hand over to someone else in the club for use.
Member who last used the meter and broke the item will have to pay for the replacement. Also, before the meter to be returned, member must ensure that the meter is cleaned with fresh water, dried and properly place in its original box that it came in.
I have never use the meter before, but from what I learned, you must download or install the program and have a laptop or computer near the tank to be able to use it. For technical advice, I’m sure you can ask Frank or Bill since they have experience in using one or visit seneye.com.
Please use this thread to reserve the meter. First come first serve.
[b]Please post your result on this par reading thread if you could as well. Thank you
Once the officers get done playing with it, sign me up for usage. I’ll keep this post as a place holder for the plethora of photo/par reading pics from these Full Spectrum ReefBreeder LED’s (w/o lenses) that I have. Thanks for ordering up a new unit. ::
I believe Ken did a presentation on a very early release version of this unit last year too as its also a great tank monitor outside of the par/lux readings.

Scott has it right now and he having issue with having to login. I’m not sure what it’s all about but he is trying to consult with other with the meter of their own. Does anyone else know how to use this thing?
we are trying to come up with method to attach it to a rod of some kind so you can get readings at different depths as it is now it’s rather difficult.
Trying to make a similar thing from ridgid airline tubing since its clear and blocks less light. When I finally got it up and running it is VERY sensitive to tilting and using your hand blocks lots of light. Stay tuned, should be fixed soon.
I guess no one really cares for the SENEYE. I’ll have to try it out to see why. Frank if you want to get it fix, we have the money right now to do it. Just get with Marty for the money. We’ll just have two meter floating around. Thanks
