hey chris, are you guys still breeding the saddlebacks? or anything else right now besides the occs? do you plan on attempting to breed other fish?

No we are not breeding the saddle backs right now. We (Barb) had fun doing them especially since we were the first hobbyist ever to do them but they were very difficult to raise, they had a high mortality rate and add to that the low price they command($4 each) and they were not something she wanted to keep doing. I would like to see Barb try her hand at more fish but she doesn’t see a market where she can at least break even. Ive tried to talk her into some of the more fashionable clown fish (genetic mutants >LOL<) but she thinks they are ugly and doesn’t want anything to do with them. We have a pair of flame angles that spawn regularly but difficult clowns are a cake walk compared to pygmy angels.

Mutants are the way to go these days! I know of at least one hobbyist that sells “picassos” significantly cheaper than ORA and cant seem to keep them in stock. By signifcantly cheaper, i still mean an arm and a leg ;D
