5. Overgrown frag plugs and no super glue (just too lazy to buy it lol)
Simply stop at any drug store or hardware store… Pick up some glue and start cutting. Sorry that was the easiest one for me to respond to. :TWOCENTS lOl

any pics of the snails? and i use Kent Tech M Mag to kill the bryopsis … something in the kent kills it off.
Supposedly high Mag levels kill off or prohibit the growth of bryopsis
Isn’t there a graphic that says, “This thread is worthless with out pics.”?
As far as the vermatids go they typically aren’t as significant of a problem in a lower nutrient system. There numbers may decline with time alone if less food is available in the water column. They are fairly easy to smush if you take a hard object to them like a rock or something, so you may be able to manually remove the majority of them.(I often times take plugs and discs and push them against the glass until there little shells break, but this doesn’t get them all and may damage your tank.) Dr. Shimek argues that one of the few good uses of hermit crabs in an aquarium is to reduce the number of vermatid snails. I have ~6 hermits in my 75g and I believe they alone cut the number of vermatids in my aquarium by about 90%.
Oh and I have to agree with Andy. It may be time to slice and dice.(Don’t forget gloves and goggles) OR Over grown plugs could be attached to something larger
vermetid THRIVE on particulate matter. get some good flow in there to get up detritus so it cant settle, so ur fish can stir it up, feed less more often.
white spiral snails??? vermetids? thats what it sounds like. the only spiral, snail looking thing that doesnt move is vermetids. are they attachted to rocks? got a pic?
bryopsis thrive on nutrients. get ur phosphates and nitrates down. u can test 0 on both but still have enough for the bryopsis, and it can be used up before it registers on a test kit. also look into a bacteria system, vodka dosing. neo zeo and zeovit are the two best imho. you can also dose vodka instead of going full blown zeo. u need a GOOOOD skimmer, not a coralife super skimmer either. vodka acts as a source of carbon, which fuels bacteria growth, which uses nutrients, and then is skimmed out. also ALK needs to be stable, so be on a 2 part system. also alk needs to be around NSW. 8-10 dKH. also is ur bryopsis in ur DT or fuge? i have tons of nusience algea in my fuge. TECH M is a BAND AID SOLUTION, not a CURE. a tang will eat it up too.
broken ro/di? whats wrong with it? ill buy it and repair it if u wanna sell it. or ill help u repair it. i have a decent spectrapure 90gpd rodi with new prefilters and new di. only about 100-150 gallons through the filters. membrane got 2+ years left on it.
what do u mean by overgrown frag plugs? how do they get “overgrown” they just turn into colonies at the point right? what kind of coral is they?
ok, in this hobby, the problems never stop. there always there, u just notice something new to work on.
I need more flow, and im hoping the returns will add somemore when i add the sump
I fixed the RO with ducktape
@jon
My cuc is like 20 hermits and 5 turbos and mixmatched other things…
i guess the problem is the hermits cant get to the frag rack, only the snails.
i have a full face shield, i do need to cut some stuff, but then i have to put it somewhere, so i have to wait for the frag tank. bought 20 bucks of superglue though
The white looking things i dont think are alive… its really hard to get a pic of them… they dont move and they just cover things like the acrylic in skimmer, and all plastic.
the coralife does a good job on my tank at least. I do need to get a bigger skimmer but that will have to wait if i get a bigger one.
problems seem to come and go on their own, i barely feed but there is still phosphates and stuff… I am going to see how everything changes after the tank move, then find a panacea

Sounds like you may have tubular calcareous sponges. Harmless.
I believe you’ve seen this site in the past: http://www.melevsreef.com/id/
If you have a mystery critter try pulling up that site. If you look down the bottom right of the main page there is an image of a calcareous sponges.(He calls it a “Scypha sponge†which I wouldn’t have done on the ID page as there are many very similar animals.)
It will take a while to get the phosphates down as they will continue to leach out of all of your rock and sand. In time the tank will become more and more stable and things will work themselves out. Just keep at it. I think you’re making the right steps to improve your system. Hope you got everything you were expecting today and more.
