One frag...

So I placed my frags from John (houndsbayman) pretty well I thought. One zoo frag was questionable in staying. Well the one I thought i placed the best (Pink Zoos) - disappears. Then I figure gravity would have made it go to the front of my tank - No luck. So i pull a few rocks away and nothing… I bump another rock - snapped my green bird’s nest frag. Pissed off now cuz still can’t find the plug with the zoos and I broke a coral. I move a few more rocks and again break off new growth on a pink monti Martinfamily gave me! (just started to come back)

You know that lilttle voice in your head that tells you to quit while your ahead? - Yea no voice…

I decide to carefully move the rest of my rocks with frags corals and etc. carefully to the other side. I start sifting the sand a lil to see if it got buried somehow - Still no frag/plug. I moved my whole tank around trying to find this plug and never found it… :-?

Good news:
Found a long lost zoo frag from a few months ago.
NEW aquascape]

Bad news:
Red Mushroom detached from plug and was “eaten” by my rock anenome (closed up on it)
Pink Zoos Frag/Plug MIA prolly KIA
All corals are really pissed off
Fish with/without ick are extremely stressed

It sucks if I would have just moved the one rock the pink zoo frag was on - searched - cut my losses - would be fine right now but i guess that’s what happens when you lose a brand new frag in your rock.

sorry for laughing :-)lol but ya that brings back days in the starting of my tank.

Im bout to go Adolf on my tank and systematically off my turbos…

Jk don’t all you freak out on me fro saying that! I’m just trying to vent and joke about my own sorry mistakes.

I used to hate when a frag would break loose and “Disappear” In the rock work. Usually the culprit was a turbo snail.

What’s worst is when that frag was doing the best acclimating and opened fully…

Its the friggin snails! They rearrange my tank and cause me to be late every day I simply CANT be late. Every other day of the week they avoid my frags like the plague.

The snails are the mafia and turbo snails are the Don…Remenber to pay your protection money

a little glob of super glue gel on the bottom of the frag rock will glue it to the live rock where you want it to stay. easily snapped right off if you want to move the coral. Just glob, and press the frag to its location, with one little twist, hold a few seconds and done. it cures under water in 5 to 10 minutes. no harm.

Then the snails can do isometrics all day pushing on the fragile rock.
