Thanks Paul and Bill.

Yes, you are correct Paul. The fish with the black area with the white spots is the male.

Beautiful animals Ellen. Really jealous. I still say you have the nicest collection of fish around.

great shots, SWEET

Those are real nice! do they take frozen brine shrimp and mysis with those tiny beaks?

Yes, they are really good at taking a bite, spitting it out and then eating the smaller pieces. You would be amazed at how large a food item they are able to consume.

i am wondering where you ordered them? and what price do they run? they are very nice.

Glenn,

I got them from Blue Zoo Aquatics. They are not expensive. I think I paid $20 or $30 a piece. I would only try these guys in a very peaceful setup. They absolutely can not compete with faster eating or agressive fish. They need a long QT. acclimation tank if you are thinking aboput putting them into a larger tank. They need to be trained unto prepared foods which will happen much better in a tank by themselves where they have zero competetion for food. I was doing 20-30% water changes every 2-3 days for the first 3 weeks that I had them. This was needed to keep water quality high because you are feeding them so much to try and get them to eat. I would also advise you to have several SPS frags available for them to eat during the training process because it will likely take you a bit to figure out what they will take.

If you decide that you have the time to devote to training these beautiful fish, and want to give them a try just call me, and you can come over and see mine. I will help you out by sharing what has worked for me.

thanx for info but i am NOT going to try them anytime soon. just wondered where they came from. i am still looking for the right tankmates for my 90 since the tangs passed away. no rush for purchasing anything. when i stop over this week one evening i want to see these and all your tanks in person, promise i will keep drool of floor.
