First, i saw a frag on PacificEasts’ under $15 section that i wanted and was gonna ask John “houndsbayman” if he was going to PE before next meeting if he could snag one for me.
I then thought why not see if PE would handle all the purchases of a “group buy” from the under $15 section(tagging and holding the frags for a week)
so everyone could have the opportunity…
They said they would, no problem… and John HB offered to pick them up for us the day of the meeting.
I told them we didn’t expect a discount on frags that are already priced so low, just asked if they were willing to do all the small transactions, and handle the order for us…
Just a fun way, to grab a frag from a reputable source… and free- shipping compliments of John ::
they have hundreds of frags http://www.pacificeastaquaculture.com/Frags-Under-15-Prodlist.html
check it out!
i’ll set it up if there’s interest…
again, i didn’t ask for a discount… just something fun and easy… I was thinking if you want to purchase something thats other then the $15 section thats fine if Johns ok with it… just don’t expect any discount besides the free shipping… Dr Mac visits the club annually, does a presentation and runs a nice group buy…
If it happens, the ordering would begin about a week before the Nov. meeting and run for at least 5 days… with payments being taken via website or phone to PacificEast
Good point Ken,
On a positive note…and off topic–ish tested generator this morning. heater and circ pumps run just fine, even moonlite led. won’t try the main pump or lights though. 5 kw genset may just pay for itself…
Question: Can we utilize the lucky 7 special either individually or as a group?
I’m thinking since this isn’t a true “group buy” we wouldn’t do the lucky 7 as a group, but if I wanted to buy 7 myself, it seems like it would still apply.
Is there any other places to get some of the more uncommon stuff that dr Mac and the other venders we deal with dont normally have? Ie reefpets,or any of the other site sponsors we haven’t heard from in months?
there is also a frag swap comming in Jan. to that fish place in Lancaster, PA that a few of us will be going to and will try to car pool, we also offer to pick up frags for those that can’t make it but want to pre order frags.
