We handle them and get slimed on our caloused hands, but still they are very dangerous.
Handle with care.
Ive gotten severly bloodshot, swollen and blackend eyes from just rubbing my eyes with dry hands, after washing my hands. thought i had it all off, but not so. took a week to clear up. hurt too.
Needless to say, dont lick your fingers or eat with your hands after handling palys. or let them drip on the floor where kids or the pets can walk or crawl on the spot and pick some up. even dried on the rug.
Many Zoos and Palys have toxins in them. Some are worse than others. Take these warnings SERIOUSLY guys and gals! At a minimum, always wear safety glasses and latex gloves when doing your fragging. wearing more protective equipment cant hurt… the life you save could be your own! if you do a lot of fragging, I would recommend printing out some info on paly toxin and keeping it close by in case you need to contact an emergency responder. and do not reuse towels when you are fragging- use paper towels, and treat them like toxic waste. if your pets contact the waste they are goners too.
Last year I got a case of red eye I believe was caused by rubbing my eye after handling zoas. Quick trip to the clinic and eye drops to clear it up. Never had red eye b4 in my life. Colorful, but dangerous
