Two Weeks in Negril to get married… Staying at Hedo II… the prude side that is >LOL<
Negril is gorgeous. We are going back next year for our 10th. But we will be staying at Couples down the road.
Hedo always sounded like a fun place to vacation - you’ll have to let us know how it was – oh and take lots of pictures (of the other side) PoM
thanks, a week ago she mentioned maybe we should have went to couples instead but too late now… I can’t wait! and we are getting married on the 8th of Aug down there so hopefully no nakid people in the background

I’ve been past Hedo a few times - ask your photographer to use a very short depth of field as there will probably be naked people in the backround otherwise. If you used a travel agent you may still be able to swqitch reservations - they don’t usually pay the resort until 25-30 days before your trip.
We honeymooned at Couples in Negril and it was AMAZING!!! We’re renewing our vows on the beach there next July.
we are T-minus 25 days leaving bright and early Aug 3rd till late on the 12th.
In Tank News picked up two Orange Skunk Clowns to mix it up from the Pinks in the 55gal. One is MIA and the other after a shooing from the Torch picked the GBTA over the RBTA… it is hovering over it now getting acquainted
still looking for another 400Watt Halide setup for the center if i can find them used or if buy new debate between 400Watt and 250Watt.
Hey Andrew…Looks good keep up the good work and enjoy your vacation.

today i think i’m done making any changes to the system before we leave. I put a tote in mmy rubbermaid sump to keep the skimmer at 8 inches no matter the evap and added a Ehiem Feed Air Feeder which is doing great so far. I did have an issue last week which was totally my fault, I left the hose going into the fuge return slightly cracked on when i left for Atlantic City. So after her bachlorette party she came home to a soaked basement and was peeved+drunk= one peeved blonde. lol good thing i was far enough away.
anywho, the salinity had dropped to 1.018 when i checked it. everything was closed up and my staghorn hermit died and one cleaner. Snails where in shock… brought the salinity back up and removed excess water with no other problems.
I re added another cleaner from Charlie and a Sharknose Goby, so far so good. fragged her GSP and Daisy Polyps from the 55gal to put in this tank. I got PLENTY of kenya trees if someone wants a few frags. just let me know i go to DE all the time lol. (FREE by the way)
it’s odd to see that my last post was almost the same thing that happened again and killed off my shrimp and corals… everything is fine when i dont touch it or at least top off the water…
some updates. this tank is in the basement and we are getting ready to bring it upstairs and upgrade her tank from 55 to another tank. i got some nice LR from a NJRC member and we got a rescue Nubsy the Naso. Something tore his tail up and his side fins which are now nubs. Also they had a Vlamingi Tang very near adult for a great price so we couldnt pass it up.
sea whip
Acro
toadstool
sharknose goby hanging out on the nori clip
cleaner wrasse
orange skunk in frogspawn
1 of the arrow crabs
my male mandarin, the female is a little shy
Wanna see pics of the Naso!
The hose you run to the fuge, is that your top off? If so, you should really look into getting an ATO, would certainly save you in costs of make up salt and lost livestock in the long run.
Lookin pretty nice! ;D

yes the hose is my top off for now. i haven’t had a chance to get the RO system i want or an ATO. Usually i stand there and fill the sump back to the proper level. Sometimes i just crack the water on and do some other stuff while it is filling up which has gotten me in trouble twice…
now for Nubsy, we’re really hoping he gets even partial grow back of his fins ( anyone got some fish roids?) He’s also still a Juvi by his colors, but heres two quick shots of him
Poor guy, hope he gets his fins back and his tail cleans up. He’d be pretty nice looking other wise
it looks like the tail will heal, but i dunno about his side fins. usually once the damage reaches the flesh, the fin usually doesnt grow back. but ya never know. great story tho, im glad someone could rescue the poor guy. looks pretty happy otherwise!
we picked up the vlamingi tang tonight and he’s a monster… a show fish to say the least. I added the 70lbs of rock i got from them then the tang. he’s like a whale to the others. all doing great and eating like… well… tangs…
pics tomorrow after work haha
only got off a couple shots before the lights went off. he is a monster and beautiful
Jeeze that guys is ginormous!
We broke down the 220 for the most part and my brother took the 55 so here is :
The Official Downgrade/Upgrade tank… got a Great deal on this tank from Delaware Premium Aquatics (120 inside the door :P!). the tank is a Marineland 120 Black Corner Flow with black stand and black silicone. dimensions are 48x24x24. lighting this tank is a difficulty for me since it’s open top (no canopy) and the light i want is out of stock.
a 4X54 nova and 4 bulb PC light are lighting the tank. i’m using a Oceanic Sump being fed by a drilled rubbermaid tub housing the MSX-250. Currently running Lignite carbon 24/7 and my return pump is an External Reeflo Marlin all plumbed to the basement. Movement in the tank is acheived by the return pump and a single Wireless MP40W Gen2 on the right hand side set on Reef Crest mode.
We combined the fish we had and cherry picked all rock also added almost every coral to one tank.
not sure which one you were looking at but i got this one, and its on sale now for less than i paid and free shipping

or at least check out their other lighting, they are trustworthy company ii bought several things from them
i’m waiting to find a great deal on a metal halide/t5 fixture or for aquatraders.com to get the odyssea 250MH/t5 back in stock… my brother has one and for 300 is an awesome light.
