Phew...Feels good to be alive

Deer + Motorcycle +60 mph =

And the shoddy temporary repair.

This could have been MUCH worse…I’m very thankful this is all that happened.

u r luuuuucky, my friend. didja lay the bike down, or no time to do that? no damage to u? deer is dead?

Nope didn’t lay it down…deer looked at me, then decided to bolt right into my path. I’m pretty sure I hit its face with the bike/my foot, but my foot doesn’t hurt and everything is fine, except for the above damage and a dent on the radiator. I went back to see if the deer was there briefly, but couldn’t find it.

Def got the heart rate going!

yes you are lucky someone was watching over you. makes you slow down and see how precious life really is.

Soooo… Does this mean we are having roast venison for the barbeque?

Your very right. I never say it, but I did say that night, someone must have been watching over me.

Heh heh sure! I think its time I cleaned out the old shotgun…

I’ve been behind cars that have hit deer only to see the deer run off. Takes a lot to kill them; sort of like a bad hair algae

Nah, deer aren’t like bad hair algae, they’ve found ways to kill deers…I’m still trying to figure out how to kill the bad HA.

Know a guy who lost his brother in a motorcyle accident recently. Says he read online that “90% of the organs donated are from motorcycle riders”. There’s a stat for ya to ponder.

And I’m glad to hear you didn’t contribute to that stat, bud.

Thanks Ted. Great statistic too… I too have the little heart on my license.

Wow. Glad your ok.

I spend a heck of a lot of the time on the road now and sooooo many times I see Bike’s get cut off because people simply don’t see them. I must have seen this 4-5 times in the last 4 months.

Careful out there.

Never realized what this post was about until now. So glad you weren’t hurt Ian. One of the young guy’s that worked with my husband in guard was killed on a bike not to long ago at the intersection of Rt. 72 and 71. He had just gotten back from Iraq. It was so sad.

Please be careful out there Ian.

Yes, I remember hearing about that, was that in the summer? That is a bad intersection, a buddy of mine totaled his camaro there. Thanks for all the good wishes guys.
