Plastic bag sump muffle

Can someone explain to me how to use a plastic bag in the sump to muffle the waterfall noise. I heard it mentioned at last months meeting any pics and or explanation will be helpful. Thanks

I think you just put it over your head. ;D

I think on my 20g when I had it hooked up with a sump I just put a piece of foam filter by the drain and it was pretty quite after that. My 75 that is RR is not loud at all. The loudest piece is the skimmer.

1- Take empty fish store bag and cut off the bottom… Just the bottom, so it’s like a flat tube.

2- Tie-wrap one one end of the bag to the line from the tank. ONLY ONE END, if you do both you will make a big mess.

3- Leave other end loose hanging into the water in the sump.
