You might me able to find a way to set a custom w/b, like, trick the camera… i tried by setting the balance with a piece of white paper stuck to the outside front of the glass, …it looks close to what the eye sees when i do it like that…
and i don’t miss film either… messin with w/b is a small trade-off :think)
looks like adjusting settings discussion got booted to a “playing” with camera thread??? do we need to start a new thread when we go a little off topic? half the discussion is still on the other thread, and it looks like i just started out random here???
Anyway, nice comparison pics Rosti…

I split it and called “playing with your camera”
ooohhh!! play away! pics are looking good!
does your software have the ability to adjust one photo then just apply the settings to all the others?
Yes, what I did is saved WB adjustment “as calibration file”. So now I just select bunch of photos and click apply to all. Helps when you spend few min reading manual.
This sw(DPP) came with Canon camera to process their RAW format(CR2), you should have it with yours also.

I haven’t messed with the canon software yet?..yes mine came with it… do you find it easy to use? i’ve mainly been using " i photo" for quick stuff, and photoshop for more in-depth…but photoshop isn’t exactly quick and easy…
Canons sw is only good for messing around with their CR2(RAW format) files.
If you would like to learn more how to use it , here is great tutorials

OK
Now we need to set up how too use your fancy new camera that you don't know how to use party verdict_in
I don’t feel so bad for not having a nice camera. I certainly don’t have the time to learn how to use them.
So rosti are you glad you moved that GSP off the bottom of your rock pile? Hard to tell, but it appears as if it is growing on two walls and the sand. It probably would have taken over a good bit of your rock work already had it been left where it was.
Thank you John for good advice on moving GSP, is it ok if it grows over lover overflow grid(vent), I cant seem to find any info if this vents are functional
If the top vent in the front were completely grown over, or clogged by food or a dead fish, and you don’t have a large amount of water coming into the tank then water could flow into the lower vent and move up and out of the tank. It’s best to try to keep it clean especially since if it is completely covered by GSP it won’t be easy to clean off at all.
